Bread in hot weather is always tricky. Humidity is not a friend either - take it from someone who lives in the tropics. A lot of things that need to rise are an issue - Yorkshire Puddings mostly turn out like frisbees and just as hard. Bread tends to be dense - about like yours just turned out. Don't blame yourself, it was the weather.

Outside of maintenance we can go a whole month and only spend £100 on diesel. Due to 1kw of solar and a 520ah battery bank we rarely have to use the engine. Maintenance isnt every month, we go 6/7 months before anything goes wrong and it’s not always boat related. Our 240v fridge packed up so we go another for £200. But that was three months ago. And what’s amusing even more is that I am on a 55k salary and my partner is on a 45k salary. We literally have roughly a £1000 a week disposable income between us which we just put away with no need to buy anything. We laugh at everyone in there fancy BMWs on Credit lol

Hi Joe, I can’t believe how much hard work those gates are totally amazes me when they restoring that they do not use a slide system which is automatic. It would save a lot of water and energy.
